This thoughtful conservation and adaptive reuse project involved the complete renovation of a mid-19th-century coach house—a protected structure—transforming it into a vibrant, light-filled architectural studio. Designed by our conservation architecture team, the historic stone building was carefully restored as a standalone entity, honoring its mid-1800s heritage and structural integrity.

Courtyard Design & Spatial Connection

To establish a seamless visual and physical dialogue between the historic coach house and the new residential build, an external courtyard was created to cleverly navigate the site’s unique geometry. Serving as an inviting entrance sequence, this private courtyard maximizes natural light penetration across both structures, guiding visitors toward the main residence while showcasing a dynamic play of historic masonry and modern design.
