1930s House Renovation & Modern Extension

Blending Heritage Detail with Contemporary Architectural Design

The original residence, constructed in the 1930s, retained rich architectural character and original period features. Designed by our Dublin architectural team, this residential refurbishment thoughtfully preserves the property’s historic charm while introducing a striking contemporary extension to the rear.

Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Living & Natural Light

The design centers on blurring the boundaries between inside and out. From the front entrance door, an uninterrupted sightline draws the eye through the new extension directly to the garden, establishing an immediate visual connection to the surrounding nature and greenery.

To create a place of calm, the extension utilizes a minimal color palette, clean architectural lines, and natural materials. Two large rooflights—detailed with exposed white timber joists—diffuse harsh sunlight from above, cascading soft, ambient light throughout the living space below.

Bespoke Canopy & Outdoor Living Room

Extending the living footprint, a custom steel and timber canopy creates a sheltered outdoor room complete with dedicated seating and dining areas. Designed to frame views of the landscape, the new addition ensures the garden becomes an integral, year-round component of the home's daily experience.
