Contemporary New Build & Coach House Restoration in South County Dublin This project features a bespoke modern new build alongside a sensitive coach house restoration, situated within the grounds of a protected structure in South County Dublin. Our architectural approach focused on site-specific integration, creating a sequence of front, middle, and rear garden spaces. These curated courtyards and planted outdoor areas form a unique spatial composition, maximizing natural light and offering curated views from every room.

Historic Preservation Meets Modern Living The historic coach house was meticulously preserved as a standalone entity to respect its heritage. By navigating complex site constraints and irregular geometry, we designed a private external courtyard that serves as a bridge between the historic structure and the new contemporary residence.

Passive Light Design & Material Craftsmanship Designed with optimal solar orientation in mind, the home features strategically placed glazing and doors that capture the evolving light of the seasons. In the living room, rhythmic vertical timber fins along the clerestory glazing cast dramatic shadows across internal brickwork, creating a dynamic interior atmosphere. Throughout the home, a restrained material palette and rich textures blend to create a sophisticated, tactile living environment.
